Macs: Very Zealous Printer Sharing

(as a side note, Fedora 10 seems to have stopped doing this automagic printer discovery.  I should look into that…)

This is/was the print dialog on my desktop, connected to the hybrid Ethernet/WiFi network in my dorm.  I found it interesting that all these printers were available to me – and all from Macs.  I’m sure this makes it very easy for people to set up home networks – I can certainly appreciate the convenience of everything seeing everything else automatically – but this isn’t a trusted home network.

Only the Cups-PDF and LaserJet_1012 printers are mine.

Anyway, I just found this interesting – I don’t really have much to say about it.

And although I was tempted, I did not try to print to any of the printers to see what happened.  I wonder if it actually would’ve worked, though…
